Our Technology
Abundant in nature, hydroxyls have the capacity to clean the atmosphere of harmful pollutants, and keep the earth’s environment healthy. Hydroxyls are so effective and essential to life on earth that Paul Crutzen, Nobel Prize winning scientist, dubbed them ‘Nature’s Detergent’.
NASA was one of the first to recognise the amazing cleansing power of hydroxyls, which they developed to prevent organic compounds accumulating on the spacecraft during space missions.
Our proprietary technology* replicates Mother Nature to provide a constant stream of natural hydroxyls destroying viruses and bacteria on both surfaces and in the air.
BOCAIR’s ActiveE technology is an active air purification process that can significantly create water particles with hydroxyl radicals up to 8.05 trillion per second. The greater number of hydroxyl radicals generated, the more effective BOCA Air Sanitiser will function in eliminating harmful contaminants.
Evidence
Hydroxyl radicals (hydroxyls) are lethal to all harmful viruses, bacteria and mould, both in the air and on surfaces.
The technology has been proven to remove 99.9% of Coronavirus HCoV-229E, of the same family as the COVID-19 causing virus SARS-CoV-2 in as little as 30 minutes, and effectively eliminate Influenza A (H1N1), the virus that causes the common flu**.
How the technology eliminates viruses & bacteria
The ActiveE technology generate nano sized water particles of active atmospheric hydroxyls that assists in eliminating present pathogens.
Water particles of size 5-20nm contain large amounts of hydroxyl radicals (OH). Our technology works towards eliminating viruses by stealing hydrogen (H) atoms from viruses, further making them inactive.
The combination of hydroxyl radicals (OH) and hydrogen (H) forms into H₂O, thus, ensuring the elimination of any present viruses and bacteria. Completely harmless and clean.

International GLP safety evaluation*** confirms the active composite particle produced by BOCA device is harmless to humans.
* The technologies used in the BOCA device have been granted four international patents, with three Australian patents pending.
